Joyetech eGo-C Beware of imitations

Beware of imitation!
As we all know, Joyetech is the leading e-cigarette manufacturer worldwide and is recognized for producing superior quality products for many years now. Lately we have been receiving reports of an alarming escalation of fake Joyetech products that are being sold on the market.

In this guide we will discuss how you can identify the popular eGo-C heads which are used in the eRoll, eGo-CC, eCab & eGo-C atomizers. Please remember that no one really knows where these products are produced. We do not know the procedures used to manufacture them and most importantly the raw material used in the manufacturing process, making this a public health hazard as no one assumes any responsibility on these counterfeit products.

Below you will see images of the genuine Joyetech product side by side on a counterfeit product found on the local market.

The image above shows front view of eGo-C boxes, both Joyetech and the counterfeit product. In this view, the main difference is the counterfeit product does not have a serial number.

On the side view of the box you will notice there is no bar code. You will also notice the fake box is almost half the thickness of the original Joyetech eGo-C

Another view of the box with difference in thickness and no mention of the e-cigarette models or any mention of the atomizer Type (A or B)

The actual atomizer has very slight differences that can be identified visually, the most distinguishable feature is the fake head is moist with some liquid which we think (and hope) is vegetable glycerin. We also noticed over time the liquid used in the fake heads oxidizes with the metal, the result is the wick will turn from white to green.

On a retail level many people buy one or two heads so they never get to see the actual box, the heads are virtually impossible to distinguish without taking the head apart.

Remember, these products have not been tested and do not have the adequate certificates like the CE marks which are compulsory for trading in the European Union. These are out on the market from shady companies trying to make extra money at the expense of their customer’s health. Of course we don’t have to talk about the performance as these atomizers were solely produced to trick customers and may pose a very serious health risk.

As a consumer, you should always ask to see the box the atomizer was taken from as well as keep the scratch serial number which can be verified on the Joyetech website. We also urge all people who come across these atomizers to please report this to us on [email protected] or to report this to Joyetech directly at [email protected]
